these were all shared via andrew. he has been helping me find more appropriately “kid-sized” instruments online. the way claudia and béla’s private music lessons have been progressing, i expect that claudia is nearly ready to start taking actual instruction with poongmul. and i hope to inspire her, and her brother, with these videos!

first: not very long, but wow, that’s a lot of black kids playing korean drums! i wonder how this partnership came about; i think we need something like it in philly.

this vocalizing will probably catch my kids’ interest, particularly since they themselves are doing indian vocal scales with a drone instrument in their private lessons:
